The office covers services for relief and support for the needy, impoverish, underprivileged, of the community. It also takes care of programs to enforce the rights of women, children and disabled. It is in the forefront in relief and rehabilitation activities in times of natural and man-made calamities.

  • ISSUANCE OF SENIOR CITIZEN’S IDENTIFICATION CARD (ID) PURCHASE SLIP

THE SERVICE:

Senior Citizen’s Identification Card is issued to all Bangued Residents reaching the age of 60. The card is used to avail of discounts as provided for by the Expanded Senior Citizens Act of 2003 (RA 9257).


  • PROVISION OF SUBSIDIES TO SENIOR CITIZENS

THE SERVICE:

This service of the Municipal Government include the provision of subsidies to its senior citizens constituents.


  • PREPARATION OF CASE STUDY FOR MEDICAL ASSISTANCE/FINANCIAL ASISTANCE FROM PHILIPPINE CHARITY SWEEPSTAKES OFFICE

THE SERVICE:

This is a requirement for families who wish to avail of medical assistance/financial assistance from the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office.


  • ENROLLMENT AT DAY CARE CENTERS FOR EARLY EDUCATION AND DEVELOPMENT

THE SERVICE:

The Municipal Government runs an early education program for all pre-schoolers in the municipality. The program is managed by the MSWDO. There are currently 10 Day Care Centers for early education and development located in five barangays of the municipality. The DCCs do not charge any fee.                Parents who would like to enroll their children at any of the municipality’s Day Care Centers/Child Development Centers may contact their barangay captain or the nearest municipal day care worker/teacher based on the following master list.


  • PROVISION OF ASSISTANCE IN PURSUANT TO RA 9344

THE SERVICE:

Professional assistance is offered to children referred to the office who have committed/suspected to have done an act violating the law known as Children-In-Conflict with the Law (CICL) to arrive at legal and factual investigation in coordination with VAWC-Desk.


  • ISSUANCE OF SOLO PARENTS AND DISABLED PERSONS IDENTIFICATION CARD (ID)

THE SERVICE:

In compliance to the Solo Parents’ Act as well as the Person with Disabilities (PWDs), the office issues ID upon submission and verification of the required attachments/documents (for solo parents only) for them to avail the benefits and privileges the Law provides them.


  • ASSESSMENT OF PHILHEALTH BENEFICIARIES (INDIGENT, MUNICIPAL AND PROVINCIAL SPONSORED)

THE SERVICE:

Assistance had been extended for the assessment of the indigent, Municipal and Provincial sponsored beneficiaries for Philhealth benefits and privileges.


  • PROVISION OF CAPABILITY BUILDING ON RESPONSIBLE PARENTHOOD

THE SERVICE:

Orientation activity or seminar for responsible parenthood is being provided for the maintenance/improvement of the basic unit of the community, the family. The activity had been coordinated with the municipal and barangay officials for the smooth flow of the conduct of the activity.
